FOX WALKERs
YOUTH MENTORSHIP

Fox Walkers is our monthly weekend program for students ages 8 to 17. We guide students into adulthood by building confidence, leadership skills, teamwork, and encouraging a connection to what makes each of us human. We teach students to build reciprocal relationships with natural spaces and their resources through foundational field skills and hands on projects.

Fox Walkers is designed to be a multi-year program lasting from then end of middle school until high school graduation. Each year that a student participates is different. We build on previous skills as well as introduce new, more advanced ones. For instance, the students may learn archery one year and learn to build their own bow the next year.

We keep instructional groups small and teacher ratios high (1:7) so that students can get the most out of their learning experience. We cook, eat, and sit around the campfire together as a village making the most of their social experience. Older students may choose different paths of study but we all participate in the mentorship of younger students.
